About Suzanne Vega
Suzanne Vega is highly esteemed as a leading songwriter of her era. She rose to prominence during the folk music revival of the early 1980s. Since her critically lauded self-titled debut album in 1985, she has performed sold-out shows at some of the world’s most famous venues. Vega is celebrated for her emotive performances and her unique voice, which Rolling Stone characterizes as “clear, unwavering,” while The Washington Post likens it to “a cool, dry sandpaper-brushed near-whisper.” NPR Music has observed that she “has been creating essential, innovative music” over her extensive career.
